I’m a member of CTL (Contemporary Textiles London) which meets once a month at a location in the City of London. An exhibition of our work is taking place this month (December 2024).
Here’s the description of our group:
CTL comprises a group of artists passionate about contemporary textile art and their own individual textiles practice. The objective of the group is to enable wider recognition of contemporary quilters’ and textile artists’ work. We exhibit as a group and as independent practitioners.
The twenty-six members of the group meet monthly at 107 Leadenhall Street, London, travelling from various locations within and outside the capital. We benefit from group discussions on topics related to art textiles, critique and offer advice on each other’s work and visit exhibitions together.
As a group we are free-spirited, friendly, informative, inspirational, interesting, joyful, opinionated, sharing, skilled, stimulating, supportive and varied in our artistic approach.

When an opportunity arose for a pop-up exhibition in the heart of the City we grabbed it!
Members of Contemporary Textiles London swiftly went into action and the result is a
tightly curated show of small textile art pieces – many at Christmas present prices – at
Theatre Deli, the studios, meeting space and cafe/bar where the 26-strong group gathers
each month.
