A (birthday) gift

Yesterday was my birthday and I got to spend it with my cousin who was born on the same day as me in the same year and in the same town. We aren’t often together in the same place on our birthday date, so it felt very special. I have also been able to visit our young grandchildren this weekend and they have definitely made it a birthday weekend to remember!

So my plan is to give YOU a gift on the occasion of my birthday!

I have a short course on how to make a lino-cut print which I recorded during the pandemic. I’ve decided to add it to the growing collection of videos on my You Tube channel. The video lasts about 15 minutes and it’s enough to get you started with this very creative way of adding surface design to either paper or fabric. In the film, you can see me printing on paper. If you decide to print on fabric – maybe to include in a quilt – I recommend that you use a specialist fabric paint that can be made permanent (usually by applying heat).
