‘Happy Scrappy Squares’ quilt for Make Modern magazine

'Happy Scrappy Squares' quilt pattern by Amanda Jane Ogden in 'Make Modern' magazine issue 47 page 13

This week I am delighted to tell you about a new quilt pattern appearing now in Australian online quilt magazine Make Modern. It’s called ‘Happy Scrappy Squares’. It’s a bright, bold quilt measuring 64 x 78″. You can raid your fabric collection to gather the pieces needed for these colourful blocks. I made mine in greens, oranges, blues, yellows, reds and pinks, with a white border and blue binding, but all manner of colour combinations would be possible – even ‘scrappier’ than this.

Make Modern is a vibrant, inspiring and informative magazine; every issue is packed with delights! I am so excited to be a part of it. The ‘Happy Scrappy Squares’ quilt is in issue 47 which has just been published. There are no less than 102 colourful pages in this magazine!

Here is ‘Happy Scrappy Squares’ on a bed. It makes me feel cheerful just looking at it. This was such fun to design and make.
