The August edition of online magazine ‘We Like Sewing’ is out now. It looks like this:
The magazine has a mixture of sewing projects, including dress-making and patchwork and quilting (see Editor Catherine Eaton’s introduction to the issue at the end of the post to discover what’s included in the magazine this month).
Although the weather is warm in August, canny sewing enthusiasts are already preparing for Autumn – and even for Christmas! As the cover says (at the bottom left-hand side) there is a ‘Christmas Corner’ to encourage you to begin sewing now for the winter holiday period.
Included in the magazine, is ‘First Snowfall Patchwork Quilt Block’ which I contributed. It’s a large block (16 x 16″) which could be incorporated into a variety of projects or could form the basis for a whole ‘snowflake’ quilt.
Here it is made up in white, pale grey and blue with white polka-dots. What colours would you choose?
