One of the things I have most enjoyed about being self-employed has been the opportunity to design fabrics. I trained as a surface pattern designer between 1995 and 2000, by means of a degree studied part-time. No, the Pie of the title is not an edible one. It's my title for the quilt above, which has been on the double bed in our AirBnB house for the last year [NB this house is no longer available].
