A textile museum for braids and laces

The Maison des Tresses et Lacets (the house of braids and laces) is in La Terrasse sur Dorlay in France. It’s a fascinating museum which has preserved and cherished the equipment and materials of an important textile industry. It opens from March to November, Wednesday to Saturday. Quilting and Bannermaking

Last Saturday was the Quilters’ Guild Regional Day for my region (15E, the North-East of England). Ours is a particularly active region and the twice-a-year Regional Days are excellent.
