Today I am putting the finishing touches to the last of eight pieces of work for an exhibition this Saturday (26th September, 2015). Here’s the flyer:

Brandon Village Community Garden was created by a group of Brandon Village Residents from a former allotment in 2010. It has won several awards. You can read about the story of its creation here. In the centre of the garden is a stylish greenhouse, and this will be our exhibition space on Saturday.
I am exhibiting alongside the stained glass artist Mike Davis, whose Mimram studio is in Brandon Village. You can read more about Mike’s work here.
Mike will be exhibiting stained glass pieces and paintings; I will be showing textile hangings which are embroidered, appliqued and quilted. ‘The Bride’, returned from Moscow, will be included. For more about this, click here. My ‘Yorkshire’ textile hanging will be included. (For more about this, click here). There are several pieces with garden themes of fruit, such as this one:

There will be cakes and jam for sale too!
Brandon Village Community Garden is opposite the Bay Horse Inn (DH7 8ST) and the entrance is just next to the war memorial.
